Electric Bike Safety
Electric Bike Safety
E-scooters, e-bikes, and hoverboards are a fun and convenient way to get around for work, school, or leisure. But with their growing popularity, injuries and accidents have also increased. At Boo Time, your safety is our top priority. Please follow these important safety tips when riding or charging your device.
🔋 Battery & Fire Safety
To reduce the risk of fire, always:
- Use only products that are properly tested and certified for safety.
- Charge safely: Always stay nearby when charging. Never charge while sleeping.
- Use only the charger that came with your product.
- Only install approved replacement batteries.
- Follow the manufacturer’s charging instructions and unplug once charging is complete.
- Never use a device with a modified or reworked battery, or one made from used parts.
- Do not throw lithium batteries in the trash — take them to a battery recycling or hazardous waste center.
🚴 Safe Riding Tips
Since accidents often involve cars or loss of control, please remember:
- Always wear a helmet to protect your head.
- Inspect your ride before use: check the handlebars, brakes, throttle, lights, tires, cables, and frame.
- Be visible — use your lights, wear bright clothing, and ride cautiously near vehicles.
- Assume drivers and pedestrians may not see you — stay alert and ride defensively.
- Use your bell or horn to warn others.
- Avoid sudden or unpredictable movements.
- Watch out for small obstacles, potholes, or uneven ground — these can cause falls.
- Always keep both hands on the handlebars. Don’t hang bags or items from them.
- Slow down and lean back slightly when riding over bumps.
- Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Only one rider per scooter — no passengers.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and respect the recommended age and weight limits.
✅ Safe charging + smart riding = a better and safer experience with your Boo Time ride.
